A famous couple must-do in Ella, Little Adams Peak is named after the iconic Adams Peak because it bears the same shape and contour. A much more accessible and shorter trek than Ella Rock, it is no less beautiful with its rolling green hills and valleys and seemingly endless panoramas for magical scenery and a unique sunset viewpoint in Ella.
The route is easily accessed with two options. One route is beside a small Buddha statue beside the 98 Acres Hotel entrance. The second route starts from Ella Garden Resort; the trek will take at most an hour, with stoppages for some fantastic photography along the way. Unlike Ella Rock, Little Adams Peak is best at sunset, and it’s easier to climb down due to the short distance, but remember to fall back to the trail before the sun begins to set.
The trail features verdant tea fields with the local workers filling their baskets with the freshest tea buds and plucking away gaily. The trail is marked along the way for ease of the trekkers. Snap away when you reach the peak and enjoy the cool breezes and gulps of fresh mountain air where nature is at its best.
